Our Quality and Care

Gold Coast Eye Hospital is accredited against the National Safety and Quality Health Service Standards Version 2, which were established by the Australian Government to standardise hospital service provision. We are also part of the QPS Benchmarking Audit, a national service that compares the outcomes and data of hospitals and we proudly strive to remain ahead in our field.

Accredited by Global-Mark, we are proud to offer affordable excellence in Ophthalmic healthcare that you can be sure meets the highest Australian Quality Standards.

Driven by our desire to offer technically advanced Ophthalmic Surgery, Gold Coast Eye Hospital continues to receive consistent feedback from our patients that they would recommend our facility to their friends and family.

Celebrating our 13th year of providing excellent objective Ophthalmic outcomes on the Gold Coast, is an achievement we continue to be very proud of.

Infection Control

Dedicated to providing a safe environment for our patients, Gold Coast Eye Hospital uses an external Infection Control Consultant to review and assess our procedures and policies on infection mitigation. We understand the importance of adherence to protocols and standards in antimicrobial stewardship and regularly benchmark our facility against others, to ensure we continue to provide excellent outcomes in infection control standards.

We have a Gold Standard Hand Hygiene Auditor on our staff to ensure we continually strive to maintain our excellent results on a National Level.

Staff Training

Our staff undertake training throughout the year to ensure they perform to current practices and standards. Providing our staff with the skills and training particular to Ophthalmology, as well as all basic hospital training, ensures we continue our optimal care and service to you.

Comprehensive Care

Comprehensive care requires the engagement of patients, their family or carers in the process of care planning and delivery. Gold Coast Eye Hospital partners with our consumers from the start of their journey with us by collaboratively discussing health, preferences, care options, potential risks and benefits, care processes, expectations, possible outcomes and planning for discharge.

Community Partnerships

We are committed to providing information and improving interactions with our patients and the community we serve, which is why we are proud of our consumer feedback, partnering with our providers to ensure we continue to provide consumer – based healthcare.

Improving Patient Safety

Gold Coast Eye Hospital is focused on continuing to provide excellent outcomes for patients. Our continuous improvement processes ensure that we respond to all feedback and we have systems in place to that increase our clinical practitioner’s awareness of the potential for harm. Our agile continuous improvement process feeds back to our core management group where we can tailor our services.
